FAQs
Can Jet Members guarantee availability even in seasonal peak times?

We endeavor to always provide members with an option on every occasion but limitations can apply (e.g. slots/parking) and if the request is within the minimum booking notice period.
Please also consider if there is sufficient time to receive any applicable permits for take-off / landing (less than 24 hours, for example, can have restrictions), as well as any applicable laws which may be enforced, such as cabotage.

The easiest advice is to book as far in advance as possible.
Can I choose specific aircraft?
Yes, you are not committed to a specific aircraft or category - members may choose any specific model from the options provided to them by their Account Manager - if you have specific requirements please let us know upon making your enquiry.
Does My Membership Expire?
No. Funds deposited into your account are yours and not subject to expiry. We do reserve the right to adjust any agreed hourly rate after 12 months.

Rules regarding taking your dog on a private jet?
Some private airlines may only be approved to take dogs of a certain size or weight so its best to check with the airline or account manager. Entry into certain countries such as the United Kingdom have further restrictions on airports of entry.
What is a CTOT?

CTOT stands for calculated time of take-off. This is when a operational restriction may be placed on the flight due to Air Traffic Control / Airspace Congestion. Where possible CTOTs can be compensated by requesting a ready message if passengers are already on board.
Are there crew duty limitations on private jets?

Yes, crew are only able to operate a maximum of hours each day and be on duty for a certain number of days per week before mandatory rest periods are required. Duty days can be extended or reduced depending on the time the crew start the day, the time on the ground and number of sectors performed. For ultra-long missions an additional crew member may be required and should have an appropriate rest area on the aircraft.
What is the check-in time for a private jet?
For small groups 1-4 passengers 20 minutes, for larger groups it is worth planning 40 minutes. If the charter is greater than 19 passengers the airline will advise accordingly.
Is screening required on private jets?

If you are on a commercial charter flight, screening is not mandatory on aircraft less than 10 tonnes. On larger Aircraft (super midsized cabins) screening is a mandatory process. If you are a private owner, screening may be waived.

What is the difference between a Private Jet Estimate and a quote?

An online Private Jet Estimate from Jet Members should factor all taxes, standard catering, taxi time and positioning costs associated with the flight but this should be treated as a guide only. A quote should be associated to a price received from a specific operator which will remain subject to contract and prepayment.
Are Private Jets more susceptible to the weather?

Newer models have adaptive turbulence reduction systems to maintain a smooth flight in cruise. In adverse weather conditions under commercial charter conditions, private jets must still operate above the minimum conditions approved on their licence in including and not limited to:
-
Runway Condition
-
Wind Speed and Direction
-
Cloud Cover
-
Horizontal and Vertical Visibility
-
Temperature

Every time the calculated trip cost is lower than the maximum agreed rate on your membership, the difference / savings are returned to your account. These savings remain on your account as flight credit and can be used towards additional flying, upgrades, and complimentary ancillary services.
Please note however that as we work on providing our members with savings on every flight, the savings earned are non refundable / transferable unless agreed before the start of your membership - otherwise, there is little sense for providing the initial savings.
