HAWKER 900 XP SERIES
SEATS UP TO 8 PASSENGERS
A classic design, the Hawker 900 XP has been a popular choice for generations.
From 1963 until 2012, variations of this model were in production which is impressive for any aircraft in production today. But now with a larger choice of options, and the aircraft now a decade out of production, some might ask, is the Hawker 900 XP series still the best option to use?
Capable of up to 5 hour flight times, a big plus for this aircraft is the fully enclosed forward galley and luggage compartment. This allows the aircraft to carry an extra crew member who can prepare meals (typically including hot catering) away from the main cabin. This may be a small detail but it makes the Hawker one of the smallest aircraft able to do so.
In the cabin the aircraft would traditionally be configured with a forward club four arrangement, leading to a rear single seat and 3 seat sofa, allowing passengers that little extra space to stretch out when needed. Also with additional storage and lavatory at the rear.
Luggage space is limiting, and on later models some effort was made to slightly increase this. Hard sided suitcases will soak up much of the usable space, so our tip to take only soft sided bags is a must. Additionally, despite cabin revisions and upgrades the design of the interior will always feature a drop down floor throughout. For some this isn’t a massive concern but flat floors are becoming more of the norm, and worth considering if you are of limited mobility.
OVERVIEW OF THE BEECHCRAFT HAWKER 900 XP SERIES
We would perhaps describe the Hawker 900 XP as a classic Midsized Jet.
