KING AIR 260 SERIES
SEATS UP TO 8 PASSENGERS
As one of the most popular turboprops in the market the King Air 260 (previously the King Air 250 and 200) demonstrates the perfect balance between practicality, comfort and economy.
Depending on the exact configuration, the King Air 260 series can seat up to 8 passengers (but more comfortable with 6 passengers), with an enclosed rear lavatory which makes this a very feasible alternative to Very Light / Light Jets for shorter trips. This aircraft also has an impressive rear luggage compartment; perfect for skiing, golfing and shooting trips, with a small lavatory at the rear.
Smaller and larger variants of the King Air 260 are also potentially worth considering, such as the King Air 360 series which has an longer cabin and improved legroom, or the smaller King Air 90 series which can seat up to 6 passengers dependant on the configuration.
Overall we would suggest that the King Air 260 has a viable place for short to medium European legs with circa 4-7 passengers. Being naturally slower than a typical Light Jet, it may be more practicable and economical to consider upgrading to a jet option for longer flights, unless that is you need to take advantage of slower approach speeds, opening up a great choice of smaller more regional airports.
