SUPER LIGHT JET
CESSNA
CITATION ASCEND
SEATS UP TO 8 PASSENGERS
The new Super Light aircraft from Cessna.
The Citation Ascend has been developed from the world-renowned Citation XLS series, so this should be a very successful aircraft.
First impressions don't seem to disappoint and show that Cessna has retained much of what made the XLS so successful, but there are some subtle changes from the passenger's perspective.

Cosmetically, the Acsend looks very similar to the Citation XLS, however one new trait is the change to the cockpit window design, with the merging of the two side windows to become one.

Operationally the advertised range has improved by over 200 nautical miles which should open up the Citation Ascend to most European destinations, and with a greater payload allowance and fewer overall weight restrictions this can only be good news.

In the cabin the major notable difference on the Ascend is a move away from the drop down aisle to a fully flat floor like the Learjet 75 and its bigger brother the Citation Latitude, however this will reduce the overall height by more than 15cm.
(Note: owners may have the option at the point of construction to revert to the traditional drop down aisle if they want to keep the extra headroom, which we think most might)
