HEAVY JET
DASSAULT
FALCON 2000 SERIES
SEATS UP TO 10 PASSENGERS
Featuring a 10 seat configuration (large club four with 6 seats at the rear), this popular aircraft is a comfortable choice for European operations especially.
The Falcon 2000 series is the smallest Heavy Jet currently in production by Dassault Aviation. Since the first flight some 30 years ago, this aircraft has seen many enhancements to its design, though the 10 seat cabin remains relatively unchanged, and therefore is still a welcomed option by many. What’s difficult to clearly see from the photos is the very high calibre of workmanship which has gone into the seats and woodwork - you can certainly feel the quality and time invested.

Later models such as the Falcon 2000 LXS have given the aircraft much more range, opening up direct routings between Europe and the US. We would say its direct competitors are the Legacy 650 and the Challenger 605 series, and in comparison this aircraft holds up well and has good dispatch reliability.

Being a Heavy Jet, the galley is more capable to deal with challenging catering requests, and being enclosed from the main cabin also helps to retain a good level of privacy. Perhaps the only disadvantage is that the aircraft doesn’t have a rear stateroom, and so it may be difficult if you want that little bit of extra space to spread out or get some quiet time, a point that the Legacy 650 wins over. Perhaps this isn’t so much of a problem with short trips, but with the extended range it could be a consideration. Conversely, Dassault also have the tri-engine Falcon 900 which may address any of these concerns.
Luggage space is good on this aircraft, in fact a little better than its big brother, the Falcon 900 series, and for 10 passengers it should be able to handle most requests.
Sometimes commercially losing out to the Legacy 650 on trips, we would say clients who like flying on Falcons tend not to deviate to other manufacturers.
OVERVIEW OF THE DASSAULT FALCON 2000 SERIES
All in all, this is a great, historically dependable aircraft, with high levels of cabin detailing throughout.
