G450

The Gulfstream G450, not to be confused with the latest G400, has a benchmark design for which all Heavy Jets are designed around, with a stand up flat floor cross section, and typically 3 separate living zones. It’s a much loved aircraft, popular in America, with a good following in Europe, and can handle most long range missions up to 14 passengers.

Enter up the impressive airstairs into the forward galley (some layouts may differ), and you will note firstly the sizeable, iconic oval windows and the amount of light which enters the cabin. The main reception area is traditionally a club four arrangement with generous leg room. These seats can be connected together to create dual single sleeping berths if needed for longer trips.

In the middle of the cabin, interiors may vary between a central club four dining arrangement or another secondary living area with a sofa and twin seat facing each other. The quality is clear throughout the aircraft, including in the spacious rear lavatory. Some layouts can offer an enclosed stateroom for additional privacy or dining arrangement depending on the location of the galley being forward or aft, again something unique to Gulfstream. Luggage wise this aircraft can handle a generous amount of bags. Typically it has a commercial range of 8 hours making it a perfect consideration for transatlantic crossings. However, flights to the Caribbean, for example, are likely to be just out of its commercial range, although its bigger variant, the G550, would be a suitable alternative.

With an impressive history the G450 is a hard aircraft to fault. Perhaps the cabin may feel a little narrower than its rivals, but still fares very well overall.
