SUPER LIGHT JET
PILATUS
PILATUS PC24
SEATS UP TO 8 PASSENGERS
A relatively new entry to the market, developed by Pilatus as their flagship jet aircraft, the ‘super versatile jet’.
When it entered the market some years ago it certainly had some initial bragging rights over the competition. Built in Switzerland, we would say its main competitors are the Learjet 75, Citation XLS and smaller Phenom 300. Namely because of its ability to operate into very short runways, the flat floor throughout the cabin, its world leading baggage compartment at the rear, and accompanying large rear baggage door, accommodating a generous luggage allowance.
Operationally it is also good to note that the fuel burn on this aircraft is one of the lowest in its class, and therefore will have less volatility to changes in the cost of aviation fuel.
The fact that the fold out lavatory is situated at the front of the aircraft near the flight deck and opposite the main entrance may not be to everyone’s taste, but overall we think that this aircraft is a serious Super Light contender in the European Market.
OVERVIEW OF THE PILATUS PC24
